Vocations are a special state in life in which God calls us to live in service to building up the kingdom of God beyond the call of our baptism.

Marriage/Matrimonio: Most people are called to marriage—a vowed union of a man and woman who promise to love their spouses, to joyfully welcome and care for children, and to help bring their spouse, family, and others to heaven.

Priesthood/Sacerdocio: Priests bring Jesus to people and people to Jesus through preaching and the sacraments. They are ordained to devote their lives to the worship and service of God and his people.

Consecrated Life/Vida Consagrada: Both men and women make vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience when they join orders such as the Franciscans, Benedictines, Dominicans, etc.  They have specific charisms or gifts that they bring into the community to serve God through preaching, education, healthcare, prison ministry, or many other acts of charity.
